A new school year for 12,600 children

Our community classes opened for the new school year this week, with 26 new classes and 30 newly trained teachers.

The new school year began this week. More than 12,600 children returned to our community classes in six provinces, including pupils in 26 classes opening for the first time.

Before the year started, 30 new teachers completed our twelve-day training course. Most of them teach in their own villages, and many are former pupils of our classes.

Every pupil starts the year with a full set of textbooks, notebooks and pencils. In the highland provinces, classes also have a stove and fuel for the cold weeks of early spring.

Thank you to everyone whose donations made this possible.
